Gateway International Montessori School became an IB World School for the Diploma Programme one year ago and now it has become an IB World School for the Middle Year Programme. 

Congratulations to all our community: students, parents and staff members. This is great news for current and future students and their parents: Grades 6 to 12 students of the Gateway International Montessori School now have the opportunity to attend one of the most popular and internationally recognized  programmes: International Baccalaureate Middle Year Programme  (IB MYP) and  Diploma Programme (IBDP).

Finally, Gateway International Montessori School is sending a token of appreciation and gratitude to each and every member in its IB MYP  Programme team who has worked diligently for the past 2 years to make this dream become a reality.

Our DP1 students conducted our first 5K Charity Run. Tickets for this event were for a charitable purpose. The purpose of this run was to show our Solidarity with Palestine. The event was planned to support the Palestinians during the terrible war that is taking place, and to show our support by reviving their culture and collecting donations to be sent to and Mersal Foundation to support in the aid that is being sent to them.

Gateway’s first ever Spanish Spelling Bee 🎉 Our students in grades 4-9 participated in gateway’s first ever Spanish Spelling Bee and it was a true success. The competition was part of the Hispanic Week activities and we loved seeing our students prepared, engaged and excited ✨ Congratulations to the first place winners and to the participants. DP students attending an Academic Writing Workshop with Ms.Nahla Atef. This workshop contributes to the preparation of our students for their Extended Essays , which is a DP core subject. It also aims to familiarize them with the nature of Academic Writing and Research Skills. The workshop is to be followed with another session next week on Developing Research Questions. Thank you, Ms.Nahla Atef, our Spanish Head of Department, for sharing your academic and practical experience in academic writing. Your workshop, Ms. Nahla was highly Informative, engaging and greatly illuminative. All DP students are looking forward to the next session.

Gateway students in grade 10, 11 and DP 1 visited StudentZoneEg's University and Career Fair at the Triumph hotel on October 23rd. Students had the opportunity to ask university representatives about the programs they offer and the requirements to apply for them. They also had the chance to visit different workshops and DP students used the projects for their CAS  experience.
