🌍 The Core: Our Character Building Project
“Build the Person. Impact the World.”
Reuse, and Recycle — through a creative, hands-on experience. In a wonderful collaboration between the Art Department and Character Building teachers, students transformed everyday materials into vibrant, hand-painted sun catchers. Each unique creation reflected their understanding of responsibility, creativity, and sustainability.
Guided by their teachers, the students didn’t just learn about the importance of caring for our planet — they experienced it. Through art, teamwork, and reflection, they discovered how character and creativity can work hand in hand to make a positive impact.
✨ It’s more than a school; it’s a launchpad for global citizens.
We don’t just teach the curriculum; we cultivate critical thinkers, compassionate leaders, and resilient innovators the world needs.
At the heart of everything we do is character — because when we build the person, we truly impact the world.
We were delighted to welcome Ms. Sandra Langat, the University of Calgary representative, to Gateway International Montessori School!
Our Grade 11 and 12 students attended an insightful session exploring the university’s programs, tuition details, student life, admission requirements, and the many opportunities awaiting international students in Canada.
Events like these, organized by the University Counselor, help our students make informed decisions about their higher education journey and explore pathways to global success.

The past week was Wellbeing Week at Gateway School, thoughtfully executed by our Pastoral Care Department in celebration of World Teachers’ Day and World Mental Health Day. 💚
Throughout the week, a series of activities were planned to honor and care for the heart of our community our teachers:

A fun and refreshing start to the week! Teachers gathered to relax, laugh, and enjoy an ice cream treat.
Mindful Monday
A calm beginning focused on reconnecting through the five senses a gentle reminder to slow down and be present.
Wellness Wednesday
Small pauses create big balance. Herbal tea trays were placed in all staff rooms a simple invitation to pause, sip, and care for themselves before the winter chill arrives.
Therapeutic Thursday
Teachers came together for two reflection sessions moments to unwind, share, and recharge.
This week was our way of saying thank you to our incredible teachers for their care, dedication, and the warmth they bring to our students every day. ❤️
