What a special day!It was our pleasure at Gateway International Montessori School to host many international schools to participate in the Swimming tournament for girls U18 & U14.It was a very exciting, interactive and athletic experience for Gateway girls who enjoyed the competitive atmosphere with other teams. We are very proud of our girls' performance and we appreciate the effort they exerted during the tournament. This event was organized by our Physical Education Department, headed by Mr. Hazem Mahmoud. Moreover, we were honored and happy to have among us teams from different International Schools.

Gateway Wear it Pink 2022 Today ,October 30th, 2022, Gateway students participated in our Breast Cancer Awareness Day and in one of the heartwarming fundraising event. Our students wore pink, held a successful Bake Sale for fundraising purposes and above all they experienced thinking of others, being proactive towards others' needs, and felt that they can feel happy when they work for the welfare of their fellow humans. Thank you dear students, parents and staff members for such a meaningful event.

Gateway International Montessori School , was honored by our students' lovely, touching, and inspiring performance on the commemoration of the 6th October War, and the great pride our Egyptian, Arab, and Islamic nations have lived through these memorable days; the days of dignity and pride. Our celebration stems from the belief, as Educators, that it is our mission to embed the feeling of belonging and love for our nations and to attach our students to their roots, history, and the great meanings of life. Thank you dear students and thank you to all our teachers and staff members who inspired us today with the great meaning of belonging to a big cause.

Dear EC and LE Newcomer Parents, Dear parents of First Grade students,

Joining a new school brings with it exciting prospects and hope for the future. It is also a big change, for you and your child. We would like to make your transition to Gateway seamless, and give you confidence in the knowledge that you are leaving your child in safe and experienced hands.

We would therefore like to cordially invite you and your child to join us this Thursday, September 15 for our annual Newcomer Welcome Hour. This is an opportunity for us to give you a warm welcome into our community and for you and your child to spend quality time with your child's teachers in the classroom. It is an opportunity for your child to meet with his or her teachers and become acquainted with them before the official start of the academic year.

During this hour, your child's teachers will give you an overview of the Montessori philosophy and how it will be incorporated into your child’s everyday life at Gateway. You will take a tour of your child's classroom and learn about the different subjects that will be taught over the course of the academic year, and the unique Montessori materials that your child will use to learn them. There will be a 15-minute Q&A session at the conclusion of the hour should you have any inquiries.

Arrival time/location: 9:30 am to 10:00 am at Gate2 the Newcomer Welcome Hour begins at 10:00 am and ends at 11:00 am.

Dear Gateway Community,

I’m delighted to welcome all returning and new students and families to Gateway International Montessori School. Gateway is a learning community that is committed to helping every child to grow socially, emotionally, and academically in a safe and nurturing environment. We are eager to have all learners back on campus and have another exciting year full of remarkable learning opportunities.

It’s my great honor to be part of Gateway as the School Principal and the Dean of Academics. I consider myself a lifelong learner who strives to contribute positively to society, human well-being, and development. In view of that, I’m avid to research teaching, learning, and leadership from different perspectives. My passion for exploring diverse methods to support learners with engaging and empowering learning opportunities started nearly twenty years ago. Throughout the years, I took part in the international educational field as an educator, administrator, professional trainer, and academic consultant for international schools in and out of Egypt. My educational background entails several diplomas in teaching adolescent learners, coaching, school leadership, and a Master’s degree in International Education and Policy from American University in Cairo (AUC) coupled with being a certified International Baccalaureate (IB) Head of School and a certified Association Montessori International (AMI) School Administrator.

At Gateway, we pride ourselves on having a loving and caring community that strives to cultivate a generation of balanced, ethical, independent inquirers, and creative problem solvers. Furthermore, as a community, we consider every challenge an opportunity to learn and develop. I would like to pay tribute to all our dedicated teachers, resilient students, and supportive parents for their outstanding commitment to adapting to the unprecedented challenges posed by the ongoing outbreak of the pandemic. It is a solemn duty to protect yourself and others, so lead by example in all aspects! This effort cannot be achieved on an individual basis; it requires diligent commitment from everyone.

In closing, I wish to stress that the safety of our students, staff, and families while providing quality education is our foremost priority. Given that, these goals will remain at the heart of our decision-making process. I’m confident that our enduring collaborative efforts and responsible collective response will allow us to navigate this new reality efficiently as a resilient cooperative community.
